The Neglect of South Carolina’s Rural Schools. Dr. Bob Becker, Director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University talks with with Dr. Greg Hawkins, Director of the Jim Self Center on the Future, about the circumstances leading to Corridor of Shame, a documentary on Abbeville County School District, et al. v. the State of South Carolina, et al. in which 36 SC school districts have filed suit against the state for failure to provide equal educational opportunities to children attending poor, rural schools.

To collaborate or not? That is the question. Kerry Coffey of the of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life (IFNL) at Clemson University asks Carl Sharperson, President and CEO of Sharperson’s Executive Leadership about a SC Rural Communities Compassion Project distance learning event to take place on Wednesday, May 25.
